I am new in TFS Build and cannot understand following

"if any one face IndexOutofRange exception in "Scan solution for projects" activity, modify condition to
fileLine.Trim().StartsWith("Project") And Not fileLine.Trim().StartsWith("ProjectSection")"

Can you describe more details what things i have to do. I have checked "fileLine.Trim().StartsWith("Project")" this line on NuGetRestoreTemplate.xaml and found fileLine.Trim().StartsWith("Project"). I dont know how to solve this error. please help me!!

Thanks in advance.

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

This is a nice article, but links for resources are down...

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

Works like charm.
In case if any one face IndexOutofRange exception in "Scan solution for projects" activity, modify condition to
fileLine.Trim().StartsWith("Project") And Not fileLine.Trim().StartsWith("ProjectSection")

Dipak

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

Ha, I must've had an error in my original NuGet.exe location path, because I re-did it and now it seems to be working. That is, is nuget.exe ending up on the build machine so it can be executed?

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

Hi Mark, I am having trouble the NuGetRestoreTemplate, and am about to tear my hair out, when I look at the log files it get's as far as "Get NuGet from source control", and then skips all the Invoke NuGet.exe install etc etc and tries to build using MSBuild causing it to fail because the packages haven't been restored? Any ideas as to why it is doing this??

Thanks again

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

Hi Mark,
Please ignore my previous comment below, I see in the article you mention copying the process to a new xaml.

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

Hi Mark, Following Gary comment, I was wondering whether there is a build script that incorporates the NuGetter, and the NuGet Restore features?

I am busy looking to use this on my TFS server. it's brilliant
Thank you

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

I implemented NuGetter and TFSVersioning over Christmas, and identified this as the missing section, Could you update the NuGetter build scripts to include this.

Thanks, Keep up the good work

Re: Using NuGet in TFS Without Committing Packages to Source Control

Thanks for the comment and for letting me know about the links.
